The Technical University of Munich (TUM or TU Munich), founded in 1868, is located in Munich, the capital of Bavaria in southern Germany. It is a public research university. TUM is the oldest and most prestigious university of science and technology since the European Industrial Revolution. One of them, because of TUM's outstanding innovative spirit and excellent quality of science and education, the Technical University of Munich is among the first three German elite universities (Elite-Uni), the International University of Science and Technology Alliance, the Global University Advanced Research Institute Alliance, and the German Institute of Technology Alliance TU9 (TU9 is one of the nine most prestigious technical universities in Germany), one of the members of the European Union of Excellence in Technological Universities and other organizations, is listed by the German government as a key funding and support target in the "Future Plan". Especially in the docking and cooperation with the industry, academia, and research in the business community, it has made remarkable achievements and is well-known internationally.


The Technical University of Munich is one of the highest-ranked universities in the QS World University Rankings® in Germany. TUM has campuses in Garching, Freising, Heilbronn, Straubing and Singapore. TUM is a technical university specializing in engineering, technology, medicine, and applied and natural sciences. It has 15 colleges and departments and is supported by many research centers.


The Technical University of Munich is the world’s top comprehensive university with an international reputation. About Undergraduate:


TUM offers a large range of bachelor’s degree programs, with some programs offering the possibility of a joint or double degree. One of the entry requirements is that you have a higher education entrance qualification, but admission requirements vary between subjects, so you should check the profile of your chosen program for precise information. Depending on the program, you may need to prove your proficiency in English and/or German if you’re not a native speaker. There are no tuition fees at bachelor’s level at TUM, so you will only pay a semester fee of €129.40


About Postgraduate:


TUM offers a range of consecutive master’s programs, continuing education master’s programs and some double degree programs, the latter of which allows you to gain a degree from both TUM and a partner institution. To apply for a master’s degree at TUM, you’ll need to complete an online application via your TUMonline account, including all the relevant documents. Part of the application process includes a two-step aptitude assessment procedure which involves the evaluation of your documents based on a points-based system. Candidates will be accepted, rejected or invited to an interview depending on their number of points.
