University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is a public research university located in Los Angeles, USA. It is a member of the Pacific Rim University Alliance and the International Public University Forum, and is also a public Ivy League school. Over the years, it has been the university with the largest number of applicants in the United States, and it is also one of the universities with the most difficult admission.


The University of California, Los Angeles was established in 1882 as the southern part of the California State Normal School (now San Jose State University). It became the southern part of the University of California in 1919, making it the second oldest branch of the University of California at Berkeley (after the University of California at Berkeley). -Campus University of California system.


UCLA offers 337 undergraduate and graduate degree programs in a wide range of disciplines, enrolling approximately 31,500 undergraduates and 12,800 graduate students. The university will also serve as the host of the Olympic Village for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.


In 2018, UCLA ranked No. 1 in the United States as the most valuable university by Forbes, and ranked No. 3 in the world for QS graduate employability in 2020. In 2020-21, UCLA ranks 13th in the academic ranking of Shanghai University of Technology, 14th in the US News World University Rankings, 15th in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, and 5th in the QS U.S. University Rankings in 2021, US News ranks No. 1 among public universities in the United States.
