Criminal justice

Criminal justice refers to the activities carried out by the national judicial organs in accordance with the criminal judicial power granted by the Constitution and laws, performing their duties, cooperating with each other, and in accordance with certain legal procedures in handling criminal cases and executing national penalties. In our country, criminal justice is a systematic project involving public security organs, procuratorial organs, judicial organs, and judicial administrative organs. It is generally divided into four links: investigation, prosecution, trial, and execution.

According to the nature and role of various judicial organs, my country's criminal judicial power is divided into investigative power, judicial power, execution power and prosecutorial power. Investigative power is exercised by public security organs (including national security organs) and procuratorial organs. Judicial power is exercised by the courts, procuratorial powers are exercised by the procuratorate, and enforcement powers are exercised by the courts, public security organs, and judicial administrative organs. The fundamental task of criminal justice is to correctly use the criminal legal system in accordance with the current criminal policy to combat crime, punish criminals, prevent crime, and maintain social order
