The main protection of medical expenses incurred in the event of an accidental disaster and sudden illness during the visit may include the cost of medical assistance to be transported to a medical setting. Since national health insurance generally protects only its nationals, foreigners will be charged high medical costs, and travel medical insurance has become one of the most popular types of travel insurance.

Travel security insurance

Travel security insurance is a guarantee of disability or death caused by an accidental injury (a sudden accident other than an accident other than an illness) caused by the insured during the term of the insurance policy.

Some travel insurance policies also provide for additional insurance costs, such as:

Pre-existing diseases (e.g. asthma, diabetes)

Sports with risk factors (e.g. skiing, diving)

Travel to high-risk countries (e.g., war, natural disasters and terrorist acts)
